Emily Song

I've supported public health and health policy work across the Massachusetts State House, Harvard Medical School, and the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. I bring research, operations, stakeholder engagement, and process-improvement experience to health-focused teams.

At the EMPOWER Project in Harvard Medical School's Mental Health for All Lab, I led a project from IRB application through presenting policy recommendations on peer support certification and standardization to more than 200 peers. I also balanced action-item tracking across up to six projects and incorporated feedback from focus groups, nonprofits, consultants, and community members.

At the Massachusetts State House, I supported bill submissions, documentation systems, social media management, and relationships with nonprofit organizations and government agencies. I engaged stakeholders to identify process improvements.

I've also analyzed and communicated public-health data for the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, evaluated the PHIT dashboard, and drafted findings for non-technical audiences. My background includes sustainability advocacy, project management, people management, and quantitative and qualitative data tools.
