Danielle Donelson
@danielledonelson
I’m a Ph.D.-trained rhetoric & writing professor advancing decolonial, trauma-informed literacy and teaching.
What I'm looking for
I’m a Ph.D.-trained English scholar focused on rhetoric and writing, blending decolonial pedagogy, trauma and embodiment studies, and rhetorical listening to strengthen literacy development. I’ve served as an Assistant Professor of College Literacy and as an Assistant Professor of English, including roles that led composition initiatives and supported writing program administration.
My work centers on cultural rhetorics and translingual/multilingual pedagogies, with sustained attention to world literature, gender studies, and digital and public humanities. I bring classroom and international experience—including invited workshops and lectures across U.S. and Indonesian institutions—and I draw on my research and publications in venues such as the Ohio Journal of English Language Arts and Modern English Teacher to create more culturally relevant, validating learning environments.
