Aaron Philips

I am a passionate educator with a PhD in Literature Theory from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Northeastern Illinois University. My journey in academia has been driven by a commitment to fostering a love for literature among students and enhancing their analytical skills. Currently, I serve as a Senior English Instructor at Jefferson State Community College, where I develop and teach post-secondary English courses tailored to diverse student needs.

Throughout my career, I have focused on creating engaging content resources that promote abstract and analytical reading of literary works. My experience as an English Literature Instructor at Pacific Coast Academy allowed me to inspire students through the exploration of both classic and contemporary literature. I have also contributed to curriculum development, ensuring that our literature courses align with students' academic and career aspirations. My dedication to teaching extends beyond the classroom, as I have volunteered as a Writing Coach, helping aspiring writers refine their manuscripts for publication.
