Seeking a challenging and rewarding role that leverages my expertise in teaching, curriculum development, and community engagement to foster intellectual growth, creativity, and self-discovery in students of all ages.

As a seasoned educator and writer, I have dedicated my career to fostering intellectual growth, creativity, and self-discovery in students of all ages. With a Ph.D. in Creative Writing from the University of Glasgow and an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Notre Dame, I have developed a unique ability to craft engaging curricula and inspire students to reach their full potential.

Throughout my career, I have taught a wide range of courses, from creative writing and literature to film and television appreciation, gender studies, and art history. My pedagogical approach emphasizes innovative instructional strategies, diverse multimedia resources, and individualized learning plans to promote critical thinking, cultural appreciation, and academic excellence.

In addition to my teaching experience, I am a prolific writer with a published memoir, play, seven books of poetry, multiple academic essays, and three academic book chapters. I am also the founding and managing editor of Hushlit, a biannual literary journal featuring diverse writers, including poet laureates.
