What I'm looking for

I am looking for a role that allows me to inspire students and develop innovative curricula in a supportive educational environment.

I am an experienced educator currently serving as a Professor of English at Tyler Junior College, where I teach both in-person and online courses. My focus is on developing students' writing skills across various modes, including argumentation and narrative. I am committed to honing their grammar and MLA formatting skills to help them present professional papers effectively.

Previously, I taught at Airline High School and North Webster High School, where I guided high school juniors and seniors through Dual Enrollment English and British Literature. My teaching philosophy centers on fostering critical thinking and analytical skills, ensuring that students meet state standards while engaging deeply with literary texts.

Currently pursuing a Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction, I maintain a 4.0 GPA, reflecting my dedication to academic excellence. My educational background includes multiple degrees in English and teaching, equipping me with the knowledge and skills to inspire and educate the next generation of writers and thinkers.
