What I'm looking for

I seek a role that allows me to influence educational practices and policies while fostering teacher development and student success.

I am an accomplished educator with over two decades of experience in English education and literacy development. Currently, I serve as a Professor at the University of North Florida, where I have dedicated my career to enhancing pedagogical methods and advocating for research-based approaches in teacher education. My journey began with a Ph.D. in Curriculum & Instruction, and I have since developed a robust curriculum that aligns with state requirements and fosters student engagement.

Throughout my career, I have been instrumental in creating and directing programs such as the Seven Bridges Writing Project, which has positively impacted hundreds of K-12 teachers. My commitment to professional development is evident in my role as a Faculty-in-Residence, where I collaborated with local schools to improve educational outcomes for struggling students. I have also been recognized with multiple awards for my teaching and service, reflecting my dedication to academic excellence and community engagement.
