Catherine Grillo

I am a methodical and adaptable data science project manager with a TS//SCI clearance and over five years of experience in the Military Health System. My journey began with a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Maryland, where I developed a strong foundation in data analysis and programming. Since then, I have dedicated my career to bringing descriptive and predictive data analysis to the forefront of decision-making processes, enhancing operational efficiency and patient care.

In my current role as Program Manager at the Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic, I lead a team in developing and maintaining data transfer interfaces that connect military health record systems with the Military Health System Information Platform. My ability to combine technical, functional, and programmatic viewpoints has allowed me to coordinate effectively among various stakeholders, ensuring adherence to requirements and best practices. One of my proudest achievements has been significantly enhancing data analytics capabilities, which has empowered clinical and leadership teams to make informed, data-driven decisions.

Previously, as a Data Scientist, I initiated a comprehensive redesign of a critical tracking dashboard, automating the ETL pipeline and reducing refresh times by an impressive 97%. My work has consistently focused on leveraging data visualization tools like QlikView and Kendo UI to deliver actionable insights, ultimately driving improvements in ticket management and patient care. I am passionate about using data to solve complex problems and am always looking for innovative ways to enhance the capabilities of the teams I work with.
