What I'm looking for
I'm completing a Master of Arts in Counseling with a Clinical Mental Health emphasis at Oregon State University.
As a Student Counselor at OSU/Lark Song Counseling, I used a culturally competent, person-centered approach to build therapeutic alliances and trust. I conducted intake interviews, biopsychosocial assessments, risk assessments, safety plans, treatment planning, and therapeutic closures.
At NorthWest Youth Discovery, I engaged clients in DBT and CBT interventions, supported structured daily activities, and documented behavioral and emotional observations. My work also includes data mining as a Research Assistant at Oregon State University.
Earlier, I conducted qualitative and quantitative research at UC Davis on conflict management, foreign intervention, peace agreements, terrorist activity, and GDP using Excel and STATA8. I also bring experience teaching conflict resolution, Nonviolent Communication, and literacy in community settings.
