Callum Edgcumbe

At Geoquip Marine, I lead the design, build, and day-to-day operation of ARKdb, a Django REST Framework, PostgreSQL, React, and TypeScript platform used by hundreds of staff to produce client deliverables.

I build applications from scratch, including APIs, PWAs, CI/CD, and infrastructure. I delivered a Timesheet App that cut HR administration from around two days to under five minutes per payroll cycle, and developed ExtractorTwins, which halved manual lab-data handling and was Highly Commended at the Ground Engineering Awards 2025.

I also build reliable workflows for offshore and distributed teams, including real-time collaborative editing, offline CRUD, automated Python data pipelines, and background processing with Celery and Redis. I own deployments across Linux, Docker, Nginx, Gunicorn, Azure, and GitHub Actions, while mentoring junior developers and setting development standards.

Previously, I co-founded Atlas Geotechnics, scaling a remote technical services company to six staff serving major UK infrastructure projects including HS2. I built its Kotlin Android field-data app and Python/MySQL invoicing system, and I continue to develop production products independently, including SwellMap and PDForever.
