What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a Medicaid LTSS-focused role where I can lead compliant assessments, build individualized care plans, and use analytics to improve outcomes for vulnerable members—collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to reduce utilization and gaps in services.

I’m a PhD-trained public policy and administration professional with 15+ years of experience strengthening Medicaid systems, implementing public health programs, and delivering social service coordination. My work centers on Long-Term Services and Supports (LTSS), care coordination, regulatory compliance, and outcomes for vulnerable populations.

In my current role as an LTSS Service Coordinator at Elevance Health (Healthy Blue Kansas), I conduct comprehensive Medicaid LTSS and waiver assessments across medical, behavioral, and social determinants of health. I develop individualized service plans aligned with federal and state Medicaid regulations, coordinate interdisciplinary teams, and ensure compliance with CMS and state policies—while using utilization trends to recommend cost-effective alternatives.

Previously, as an LTSS Case Manager at Aetna, I managed complex caseloads for Medicaid members with chronic and co-morbid conditions, using clinical tools and claims data analysis to drive proactive care planning. I improved member outcomes and reduced hospital utilization by removing barriers to care, applying Medicaid policy guidance, and using motivational interviewing to strengthen engagement and adherence.

Earlier in my career, I led HIV/AIDS case management under the federally funded Ryan White programs as a Medical Case Manager, supporting eligibility assessments and navigating coverage enrollment for clients. I also bring program leadership experience as a Program Manager (QDDP/DPM), supervising residential programs, managing budgets and quality assurance, and training staff to maintain compliance; before that, I provided psychosocial assessments and crisis intervention coordination as a Case Manager at a teaching and referral hospital in Kenya.
