What I'm looking for

I’m looking to secure my EO Council Tax Caseworker position permanently—delivering fair, accurate and timely outcomes. I want a team focused on quality, clear evidence-based reasoning, plain-English communication, and continuous improvement through coaching and data learning.

I’m a temporary Council Tax Caseworker (EO) at the Valuation Office Agency, delivering fair, accurate and timely outcomes across deletions, mergers, new properties and effective date changes. I’m known for evidence-based decisions, “appeal ready” documentation, and making complex caselaw understandable to non-technical audiences.

In my current role, I lead evidence reviews for VT appeals by comparing customer submissions with historic sales data and street sheets, then documenting a coherent “thought process” that’s convertible into a 6-week pack. I also explain complex caselaw to colleagues and customers, quality-assure legacy cases to prevent misapplied guidance, and work with data sources including MILO and customer correspondence.

I balance heavy caseloads with continuous improvement—building a simple Excel + desktop workflow to track workstreams and coaching teammates with practical 1-hour sessions that improve KPIs without sacrificing quality. I’m motivated by “right first time” service, and I’m seeking to secure the position permanently while continuing my Level 3 Data apprenticeship and sharing what I learn with the team.
