At Huron Digital Pathology, I own the service function for 200+ customers and 150+ installed scanners across 15+ countries, managing an annual service budget of $500K–$600K and reporting quarterly to leadership.
I led a hardware improvement initiative on the scanner’s slide handler with a team of three peers, while also doing hands-on engineering work. The change reduced related service calls by 95% within one year.
I redesigned motor tuning and voltage/current settings, reducing slide load and unload cycle time from 40 seconds to 14 seconds and improving system throughput by 2.5x. I also deliver clinical installations, including LIS/PACS integration and Windows Firewall configuration.
My work connects engineering, manufacturing, and service through documentation and processes, and I train and onboard new hires, field technicians, distributors, and customers. I’m currently leading design of a barcode-reading and slide-detection system for next-generation scanners.
