What I'm looking for

I’m looking to grow as an ASL educator—creating TEKS-aligned, culturally responsive lessons with strong assessments and accessible tech support in a student-centered environment that values Deaf culture and inclusion.

I’m an American Sign Language teacher who designs and delivers standards-aligned ASL instruction for Level 1 and Level 2 high school students in line with Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS). I build lessons around receptive and expressive communication, Deaf culture, interpersonal communication, and real-world language application.

I lead the full instructional lifecycle—curriculum planning, assessment design, classroom instruction, differentiation, and progress monitoring—so every learner can move forward. I focus on creating student-centered experiences that strengthen communication skills and accessibility for diverse needs.

I integrate technology and multimedia resources to increase engagement and support language acquisition within the ASL classroom. From digital curriculum and virtual instruction to student data analysis, I use tools that make learning more interactive and more reachable.

I also run classroom operations with structured routines, positive reinforcement systems, and relationship-centered classroom management. Guided by my training and my commitment to Deaf community engagement, I bring cultural competency, advocacy, and inclusive communication strategies into every day of teaching.
