Experienced ASL teacher and interpreter committed to Deaf education.
What I'm looking for
I am a dedicated American Sign Language educator with extensive classroom and interpreting experience spanning K–12 and community settings. I hold a Master's in Teaching American Sign Language (TASL) and multiple certifications, and I have taught ASL I–IV while advising clubs and honor society chapters.
My career includes long-term secondary teaching roles, work as an educational interpreter, freelance interpreting, and literacy program coordination at the American School for the Deaf. I have been an active member of ASLTA and was a nominee for Massachusetts Teacher of the Year in 2019.
I focus on creating accessible, culturally responsive learning environments, mentoring students and colleagues, and building family-focused literacy supports for Deaf and hard-of-hearing students.
