My oncogene and tumor suppressor sequence analysis project uses Python and NCBI data to examine sequence length, start and end points, directionality, and chromosome location.
I also built a DNA Sequence Analyzer with Python and Biopython to read FASTA files, find open reading frames, and calculate GC content.
My B.S. in Genetics, Cell & Developmental Biology from the University of Minnesota gave me a foundation in genetics, biology, statistics, physics, and quantitative analysis. I’ve worked hands-on with NCBI/NLM databases, sequence retrieval, gene annotation, and genomic data analysis.
From 2012 to the present, I’ve worked in leadership and operations roles at P.F. Chang’s China Bistro, Pajaritos, Hewing Hotel, Oasis Resort, and Quick. I’ve delivered accuracy in high-volume environments and trained team members on precise standards; I’m now bringing that experience to genomics, bioinformatics, and pharmaceutical research support.
