Gabby Atkinson
@gabbyatkinson
Computational genomics researcher skilled in NGS analysis, reproducible workflows, and biological data interpretation.
What I'm looking for
I am a computational genomics researcher trained in molecular genetics with extensive experience analyzing next-generation sequencing data in Linux high-performance computing environments. I design and implement QC and reproducible workflows, perform statistical analyses including differential gene expression and GWAS, and translate complex results into biologically meaningful insights that support manuscripts and collaborations.
As a collaborative scientist, I have led large-scale genomic and transcriptomic analyses that produced multiple first-author manuscripts in preparation and mentored students in R-based workflows and data interpretation. I prioritize clear visualizations, thorough documentation, and cross-institutional reproducibility to drive robust, publishable research outcomes.
Experience
Work history, roles, and key accomplishments
Processed and analyzed sequencing data from modern and historical samples in Linux environments, integrated cohort metadata for downstream analyses, and collaborated with cross-institutional investigators to refine analytical approaches.
