We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Night Dispatcher to support our long-haul refrigerated trucking operations. This role is responsible for overnight fleet monitoring, driver communication, load tracking, and ensuring on-time delivery while maintaining temperature compliance for sensitive freight. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and can make sound decisions with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and track all active loads during overnight hours using TMS and GPS systems
Communicate with drivers regarding load status, delays, route issues, and emergencies
Ensure proper temperature settings and reefer unit operation for all refrigerated loads
Coordinate with brokers, customers, and receivers for appointments, updates, and issue resolution
Proactively identify and resolve service failures or potential disruptions
Dispatch drivers on pre-planned loads and make adjustments as needed
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in dispatch and tracking systems
Handle after-hours calls, including breakdowns, detention, and lumper issues
Escalate critical issues to management when necessary
Working conditions:
Working schedule: 3 shifts are available, 1 person per shift, all times in CST:
(Mon–Thurs): 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
(Fri–Sun): 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Day Shift (Weekend Part-Time): 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, Saturday–Sunday

Requirements
Prior experience in trucking dispatch, logistics, or transportation (reefer experience preferred)
Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and load tracking tools
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to multitask and stay organized in a high-pressure environment
Basic understanding of Hours of Service (HOS) regulations
Comfortable working overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays
