About Vercel:

Vercel’s Frontend Cloud provides the developer experience and infrastructure to build, scale, and secure a faster, more personalized web. Customers like Under Armour, eBay, The Washington Post, Johnson & Johnson, and Zapier use Vercel to build dynamic user experiences on the web.

At Vercel, our mission is to enable the world to ship the best products and that goes hand in hand with creating an environment where you can do the best work of your life.

About the role:

We are looking for a Compliance Analyst to join our Privacy & Compliance team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to manage and maintain ongoing compliance with security and privacy frameworks, policies, procedures, and commercial assessments, including ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA and PCI DSS. Your role will be instrumental in ensuring that our company operates ethically, responsibly, and in accordance with regulatory requirements.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of accountability and integrity throughout the organization and foster an environment where everyone understands the importance of adhering to established guidelines and ethical practices. If you like challenges, in a supportive environment, Vercel is the place for you.

Think you may not have all the skills and are hesitant to apply? There is no “perfect” candidate and encourage you to apply if you think that you can bring value to our team and are passionate and committed to upholding the highest standards of compliance and ethics.

We want you to feel like part of the team early on! Our team will help integrate you into the company with explanations on our product, policies, processes, team structure and roadmap.

We’re excited for you to learn, grow, and contribute right away! We trust that you’ll bring experience and knowledge that will uplift and up-level the team, but we don’t expect you to know everything on Day 1.

What you will do:

  • Collaborate with internal teams to maintain an effective suite of internal controls, monitoring and adapting to changes in products, business processes, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
  • Streamline annual audits by managing audit deliverables, developing remediation plans, and coordinating across teams to document and track completion to ensure audit success.
  • Lead policy and compliance development and maintenance, through documentation and enablement to ensure alignment with the company’s overall governance and business objectives.
  • Design and manage company training and enhance visibility on compliance-specific topics for internal stakeholders to ensure an understanding of compliance, ethics, and regulatory requirements within the organization.
  • Initiate and drive process improvements to enhance the effectiveness of the compliance function by implementing compliance-by-design practices into a highly-dynamic software development lifecycle (SDLC) and obtaining actionable commitment from relevant stakeholders.

About you:

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in supporting the audit lifecycle in a cloud-centric environment (SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI, HIPAA, etc.), with aptitude to adopt and configure scalable solutions using current and emerging technologies.
  • Experience collaborating closely with internal partners to seamlessly incorporate policies and control management processes into internal operations.
  • Strong project management skills and sense of ownership with the ability to communicate effectively, and execute projects and initiatives across various business units and levels.
  • Highly collaborative, detail-oriented, intellectually curious, with strong organizational skills to be flexible and proactive in a high-growth, start-up environment with pivoting priorities.

Bonus if you:

  • Strong experience with cloud infrastructure (e.g., Azure, AWS) and technical experience
  • Familiarity with compliance or software development tools and systems (e.g., Drata, Linear, Datadog, etc.)
  • Experience with federal security standards and regulations (e.g., FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST 800-53)
  • Relevant industry certifications (i.e., CISM, CISSP, CCEP) is a plus, but not required

Benefits:

  • Great compensation package and stock options.
  • Inclusive Healthcare Package.
  • Learn and Grow - we provide mentorship and send you to events that help you build your network and skills.
  • Flexible Time Off - Flexible vacation policy with a recommended 4-weeks per year, and paid holidays.
  • Remote Friendly - Work with teammates from different time zones across the globe.
  • We will provide you the gear you need to do your role, and a WFH budget for you to outfit your space as needed.
