At Uni Systems, we are working towards turning digital visions into reality. We are continuously growing and we are looking for a Project Manager to join our UniQue team.
What will you be doing in this role?
- Project management activities including requirements analysis, project planning, project follow up, subcontractor management, stakeholder management, deliverable tracking and risk analysis.
- Give proposals for project strategies, planning, definition of tasks and deliverables, review of project deliverables, quality control, risk analysis and management, status reports, problem reporting and management systems, follow up and organization.
- Prepare and maintain project and quality plans and tracks activities against the plan, provide regular and accurate reports.
- Monitor costs, timescales and resources used. Take action where these deviate from agreed tolerances. Ensure that delivered systems are implemented within these criteria.
- Manage the change control procedure gaining agreement for revisions to the project from project sponsors.
- Actively liaise with software development teams within institution to help them to work following Open Source principles and practices (e.g. onboarding, community building, keep track on progress)
- Help in the day-to-day tasks of the external open source repository of European Institutions e.g. user and group management, assist project teams, and help setup a GitLab community of practice
- Participation and support in the organisation of open source related events such as hackathons, bug bounties and conferences
- Support in the creation of open source related training courses for the institution's staff
- Participation and support in communication activities (e.g. articles, wikis, podcasts)
- Support in the construction of the OSPO network e.g. liaising with OSPOs from other institutions
- Participate in the coordination of activities related to the Open Source Labs.
Requirements
What will you be bringing to the team?
- A Bachelor degree and a minimum of 13 years relevant work experience (or Master degree + 9 years relevant experience)
- At least 4 years of tracked expertise in project management of information/technology projects
- Very Good knowledge of project management methodologies [i.e. PM2, PRINCE, PMP (PMBOK), etc.].
- Very good experience in preparing and/or chairing project meetings, preparation/organisation of conferences, presentations, creation/dissemination of relevant materials, etc.
- Very good experience in task management and follow-up.
- Very good analysis and problem solving skills.
- Very good communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences;
- Experience in running a service or operations
- Ability to apply high quality standards.
- Ability to give technical and non-technical presentations.
- Capability of working in a multi-lingual/multi-cultural environment.
- Very good knowledge of English (both written and oral). The knowledge of French will be considered as an asset.
- Knowledge in Design Thinking methodology will be considered as an asset.
- Knowledge /Experience with of open source practices and relevant products will be considered as an asset.
