- Manage, update, and maintain the company’s WordPress website.
- Develop and customize WordPress themes and templates to meet content and branding needs. Install, configure, and manage plugins to extend website functionality.
- Ensure site performance, speed optimization, and responsiveness across all devices.
- Collaborate with content creators, designers, and marketers to implement new features and publish content.
- Monitor website health, security, and uptime; troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as needed.
- Implement and maintain SEO best practices.
- Perform regular backups and updates of core, themes, and plugins.
- Generate and analyze website reports using tools like Google Analytics or other monitoring software.
Requirements
- Proven experience with WordPress development and administration.
- Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP. Familiarity with page builders (e.g., Elementor, WPBakery) and block editors (Gutenberg).
- Experience with SEO, web performance optimization, and accessibility.
- Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git) is a plus.
- Knowledge of security best practices for WordPress.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with content-heavy or high-traffic WordPress sites.
- Understanding of UI/UX principles and responsive design. Familiarity with hosting environments (e.g., cPanel, Kinsta, WP Engine).
