HEX exists to launch epic careers and unlock captive talent. We're creating a generation of leaders who take action to create the world they want to live in.

The rate of change in tech is exponential, but the rate of change in traditional education is kinda flat... 😬

So we hang out at the intersection of education and innovation, delivering a new kind of learning. We're all about experiences that are immersive, up-to-date, and based in the real world.

4000+ students have loved our seriously fun virtual programs, study abroad experiences and hackathon-style events. And they leave HEX with amazing confidence, skills and networks — as well as university accreditation.

Our origin story…

Over a Thursday afternoon glass of red, Jeanette and Bevis shared ideas about the startup community and the future economy.

A recovering Aussie banker, Bevis relocated to San Francisco. And after observing the Silicon Valley startup scene, he wondered: Where is all the diverse talent on the global stage?

Meanwhile, Jeanette was enjoying her corporate innovation career when she chose to study UX design. She launched her first business – a career consultancy – working with creatives and techies.

She wondered: What skills and mindsets do my clients need to turn their ideas and talents into world-changing startups?

Teaming up, they designed a program robust enough for academic accreditation at RMIT. And with a cohort of just seven students and one mentor-in-residence, they ran their first pilot program to Silicon Valley.

And today…?

In 2021, HEX is a lean, diverse Australian-based team working around the world and around the clock.

We’ve run 40+ programs to San Francisco, Singapore, Tel Aviv, and Melbourne – and we didn't slow down when the borders closed.

In 2020, we launched award-winning virtual internships, challenges and cohort-based programs. We even expanded our partnerships globally, and started working with incredible high-school students.

• We're backed by awesome universities in the US, UK, Canada, Singapore, New Zealand and Australia.

• We're handpicked for projects by government agencies like Global Victoria and City of Melbourne.

• We hang out and learn from tech giants like Culture Amp, Google, and Zendesk.

• And we collaborate and with startup partners like Draper Startup House, Pause Fest, and TechCrunch.
