About the role

As our Business Development Executive, you will be instrumental in unlocking untapped potential within Sinch’s existing enterprise client portfolio. This is a strategic growth role where you will partner with our Account Management teams to qualify and develop significant new business opportunities within established accounts. Your focus will be on expanding our footprint by introducing new products, services, and solutions to different departments or new use cases within existing client organisations, thereby driving substantial upsell and cross-sell revenue.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with Account Managers to deep dive into existing accounts, proactively identifying and mapping new departments, divisions, or strategic initiatives where Sinch can add significant value.
  • Initiate and nurture relationships with new stakeholders and decision-makers within current client organisations, acting as a catalyst for identifying previously unaddressed business needs.
  • Conduct thorough discovery processes to understand evolving client challenges and strategic goals, translating these into compelling expansion opportunities for Sinch’s comprehensive platforms.
  • Develop and present tailored business cases and proposals for new services and solutions, clearly articulating the unique value proposition and expected return on investment.
  • Manage the end-to-end business development cycle for these new opportunities within existing accounts, from lead generation and qualification to commercial negotiation and successful handover to Account Management for ongoing relationship.
  • Work cross-functionally with Solutions Engineering, Product, and Marketing teams to ensure a cohesive approach to account expansion and to co-create bespoke solutions where necessary.
  • Maintain an accurate and robust pipeline of expansion opportunities, providing precise forecasting and insights into potential growth within the install base.
  • Monitor market trends and competitive developments to continuously refine strategies for maximising penetration and growth within existing client relationships.

This role reports to the Regional Director of UK & Ireland.

About you

  • University degree (Business, Technical, or equivalent professional experience).
  • 5+ years’ experience in enterprise B2B sales or strategic account management within SaaS, CPaaS, telecoms, software, or a related high-growth industry.
  • Proven growth track record driving significant revenue expansion within a portfolio of existing enterprise accounts, including a history of successful upselling and cross-selling.
  • Experience engaging with and influencing C-level stakeholders to broaden the Sinch footprint across different business units and geographies.
  • Strong commercial skills with experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder deal cycles, including contract renewals, service migrations, and new product adoptions.
  • Solid understanding of solution-based and value-driven sales methodologies
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to adapt messaging to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM discipline
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in an international environment
  • Fluency in business English (written and spoken).

Nice to have:

  • Experience selling CPaaS, messaging, voice, or API-driven solutions
  • Background working alongside solution engineers or in a technically adjacent role
  • Project management experience
