We are seeking an experienced Principal Enterprise Architect to drive customer growth and solution confidence through pre-sales customer engagements. Enterprise Architects demonstrate deep knowledge of Salesforce technologies while also understanding our customer’s architecture landscape to deliver world class future state architecture visions and strategic roadmaps that drive business value. The primary responsibility of this individual is to support account growth aligned with Sales leaders through customer-facing engagements & scalable programs.

The ideal candidate will work cross-functionally with sales, solutions, go-to-market, product management and partners to accelerate the strategic selling efforts on prioritized accounts. A key aspect of this role is helping to define the future of work as Salesforce customers adopt data excellence and agentic AI into their business. This involves:

  • Staying current with emerging technology trends and their business implications

  • Possessing a strong business acumen

  • Building customer architectures on Salesforce’s deeply unified platform leveraging Agentforce and Data Cloud

  • Guiding customers through digital transformation initiatives

  • Creating innovative architectures that leverage Salesforce's latest capabilities

Your Responsibilities:

  • Customer-Centric Expertise: Engage with clients as a Salesforce customer 360 architect expert. Leverage your understanding to craft architectures that meet your customer’s unique needs and cater to their long term business goals. Travel to customer engagements is around 30%.

  • Technical Leadership: Harness your broad knowledge in applications, systems, AI, data, integration, security, cloud computing, analytics, and process automation to guide clients through their transformational journeys. Determine which Salesforce technologies to leverage in a customer's architecture landscape.

  • Innovative Solutions: Determine the best Salesforce and third-party technologies to integrate into customer architectures, based upon product knowledge, standard EA frameworks, and Salesforce EA methodologies.

  • Industry Focus: Leverage your deep industry experience to build credibility with your customers and understand their unique requirements

Your Impact:

  • Trusted Advisor: Build strong relationships with key sponsors and stakeholders including IT leaders and Chief Architects; guiding their selection, implementation approaches and value realization from Salesforce solutions.

  • Secure Trust: Earn the confidence of prospects and customers by demonstrating a deep understanding of their business strategy, customer experiences, technology landscape and industry requirements.

  • Engagement and Enablement: Conduct executive interviews, architecture and technical workshops, ensuring customers are well-equipped to leverage Salesforce technology effectively.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various Salesforce teams, including account executives, solution engineers, cloud specialists, professional services and industry advisors to drive impactful customer engagements.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 10+ years experience in either software, system or enterprise architecture disciplines

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; dynamic in presenting ideas to clients and prospective clients from Chief Architect to VP

  • Multi-cloud Salesforce experience and the ability to whiteboard Salesforce architecture.

  • Demonstrated success building architectural visions for clients or internally within an organization.

  • Solid understanding of the architectural principles of cloud based platforms including SaaS, PaaS, multi-tenancy, multi-tiered infrastructure, etc.

  • Solid understanding of AI technologies and enterprise data strategies

  • Solid understanding of typical systems that are in use today from mainframes to cloud and everything in between

  • Solid understanding of enterprise application integration, workflow and process orchestration

  • Solid understanding of the security processes, standards & issues involved in multi-tier cloud or hybrid applications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of regional and vertical data privacy and compliance requirements

  • Proficiency with solution selling and design thinking principles

  • Salesforce Certifications
