Job Description

We are seeking a driven and process-oriented Senior Accountant to join our growing accounting team. This role will round out our internal accounting capabilities and financial controls, and reports to the Accounting Team Manager.

Responsibilities

• Support Month-end close procedures including preparation of journal entries, recording of month end accruals, maintaining account reconciliations, and variance and trend analysis
• Analyzing financial information to validate statements are complete and accurate.
• Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending.
• Assist with Tax audits and tax returns.
• Assist with the annual audit.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP principles
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Liaise with our finance team on budget to actual analysis.
• Perform ad hoc research and prepare reports as requested by management

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in accounting or related field
• Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Experience with General Ledger functions and the month end/year end close process
• Detail oriented
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to interact effectively with all levels both within and outside the company

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with NetSuite a plus
• Good excel Skills
• CPA preferred but not required
