About Promise
Promise was founded in 2017 to build software to improve criminal justice outcomes.
As we worked with more and more government institutions, it became clear that one problem consistently stood in the way of success: payments.
From traffic tickets to restitution, governments are using antiquated systems that fail to provide adequate accounting and compliance data to governments and fail to understand the challenges of citizens trying to make payments.
Understanding these obstacles, Promise launched its payments platform, offering payment plans and flexible payment methods. We enable payments for tickets, restitution, program fees, child support, and more.
In all of our work, Promise has maintained its commitment to a data-driven approach to improving government and citizen interaction with government.
