- Create code samples, demos, and articles by liaising with Meta product and engineering teams to communicate third-part feedback.
- Present technical sessions at conferences, running
workshops and hands-on hackathons. - Assist in the creation and maintenance of a variety of open-source projects to shepherd projects from incubation to public release.
- Design core,
backend software components, and code using primarily C/C++, Python, and Java. - Design deep learning demos using the newest features in PyTorch and other Meta open source
projects, along with accompanying tutorials and educational content. - Interface with other teams to incorporate their innovations and vice versa.
- Own and drive community engagement for
high profile open source projects to help increase awareness and reach of our open source brand. - Conduct design and code reviews, and analyze and improve efficiency, scalability, and
stability of various system resources. - Use experience to build large-scale server applications, create and maintain open-source projects, and drive efficiency ideas to make Meta’s open
source program processes more streamlined and effective. - Be responsible for actively engaging with developer communities to raise awareness of Meta’s Open Source, a wide range of
technology stacks, and contemporary software techniques and trends by working with a variety of programming languages. - Collaborate with internal teams to understand and vocalize
open source strategies across a pillar of projects and drive efficiency ideas to make our open source program processes more streamlined and effective. - Telecommute from anywhere in the US permitted.
- Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Computer Software, Computer Engineering, or related field. Requires completion of a university-level course, research project, internship, or thesis in the following:
- 1. Software engineering
- 2. Statistics and data science
- 3. Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning research
- 4. Presenting in public
- 5. Teaching
- 6. Using or contributing to Open Source software.
