🏦 About The Role

Join the Localyze Internal team and help us build a borderless world by creating an excellent employee experience! As a People Operations Associate, you'll play a vital role in supporting our Localitos through their entire journey, from welcoming new hires to ensuring smooth daily operations. You'll work closely with the Internal team to maintain seamless processes and contribute to a supportive and efficient environment for everyone at Localyze. We're looking for someone eager to learn, optimize, and grow with us.

Please note: This is a part-time junior role, and we are also open to hiring a working student in Germany.

💪 What You’ll Do

Overseeing all of our people operations, your responsibilities will include:

  • Be the first point of contact for Localitos' questions regarding company policies, benefits, payroll, and people procedures.
  • Manage all administrative tasks across the employee journey, including creating essential employment documents and keeping our HRIS (Hibob) accurate.
  • Oversee the onboarding and offboarding process for Localitos, ensuring a smooth employee experience.
  • Support payroll processing, HRIS data coordination, and reporting by collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Continuously enhance the employee experience by maintaining and updating our documentation, guidelines, and handbooks for Localitos.

You’ll thrive in this role if you have:

  • Have some People Operations experience in a similar role – even if it's entry-level!
  • Approach your work with a proactive, assertive, and highly detail-oriented mindset – you're a true self-starter.
  • Are comfortable and effective working independently in a remote-first team environment.
  • Have the drive to succeed in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift.
  • Handle confidential information with the utmost discretion while always remaining friendly and approachable.
  • Have excellent communication skills in English.

For Localyze’s founders, Hanna, Lisa, and Franzi, global mobility has been a constant part of life. Growing up in Hamburg, Germany near the Danish border, it was easy and fairly common to visit Denmark. However, as the founders began working abroad, it quickly became apparent that not all travel or relocation was as easy as their trips to Denmark.

After a difficult relocation in Shanghai, Hanna wondered if it would be possible to make moving across borders easier from an employee perspective. Meanwhile, in Hamburg, Lisa relocated more than 300 people as part of her role in HR, and knew that companies needed a way to make obtaining visas for employees easier. Out of those experiences, Localyze was founded in 2018 when the founders reunited in their hometown of Hamburg.
