About this role
You will lead a team of intermediate to experienced Accounting professionals, setting objectives and guiding others on execution of general accounting processes, such as inter-company cash, cash management, government accounting, financial reporting, project accounting, and/or balance sheet management. Develops and explains accounting procedures, and control processes.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the resolution and recording of complex accounting arrangements in the GL to ensure compliance with US GAAP and company policies, including but not limited to:
- Revenue Recognition (ASC 606)
- Derivatives & Hedging (ASC 815)
- Leases (ASC 842)
- Compensation & Retirement Benefits (ASC 715)
- Debt (ASC 470)
- Policy & Controls: Develop and maintain accounting policies and GL-level controls to ensure accurate, consistent application of complex accounting across entities.
- Corporate Accounting Integration: Partner with the corporate accounting team to ensure that complex arrangements are correctly reflected in the GL, reconciliations, and financial statement line items.
- Implementation: Lead the end-to-end accounting and GL setup for complex arrangements, including journal entry design, reconciliation frameworks, and related team training.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting, and external auditors to ensure complex GL accounting matters are addressed and audit-ready.
- Strategic Transactions: Advise on GL impacts of significant transactions (M&A, debt arrangements, restructurings), ensuring accounting entries, valuations, and disclosures are accurately captured.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors’ degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of accounting experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification required. Public/Corporate accounting mix preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to influence and collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated experience in implementing accounting standards and managing technical accounting issues.
- Advanced knowledge of accounting software (ERP/HFM), accounting standards and financial system tools, with strong Excel skills.

Compensation and Benefits
The base salary range for this role is $115,000 - $150,000. Individuals may also be eligible for an annual performance bonus based on both individual and company’s performance. The final compensation for this position will be set based on the individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience as it relates to the job requirements.
