About the Role

The HEDIS Reporting Manager is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate completion of the customer’s annual HEDIS submission project, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and supporting product teams in their strategies to enhance healthcare quality performance.

A Day in the Life

  • 60% allocated to Customer Success team (percentage may scale as customers scale)
  • Serves as HEDIS Reporting Manager for 3-4 Customer Accounts
  • Supports implementation of HEDIS annual submission project
  • SME in acceptance of data ingestion to ensure data is integrated and tagged in accordance with HEDIS Audit Requirements and data is sourced in fashion for downstream Reporting and IDSS submissions.
  • Supports measure rate reconciliations
  • Builds relationship with HEDIS Business owner at health plan.
  • SME on the NCQA MY submission and audit timeline and yearly changes
  • SPOC for the customer’s HEDIS Reporting Manager
  • Sets and maintains the customer’s MY reporting project plan
  • Maintains applicable sections of the Customer’s NCQA HEDIS Roadmap (required by auditors)
  • Completes and maintains the Innovaccer HEDIS Reporting Charter which guides configuration of the reporting environment and IDSS submission.
  • Facilitates customer acceptance of HEDIS charter and reporting results and is a SME on measures creation. Reviews results prior to release to customers.
  • Responsible for customer training on application and owns development of a repeatable training program along with training materials.
  • SPOC for supporting customer’s HEDIS compliance audit and coordinating support across Innovaccer resources.
  • SME on IDSS (system) and conducts submission for customers who have opted to delegate submissions to Innovaccer.
  • 40% allocated to sales and product management support
  • Owns the HEDIS demo content, ensures it is kept current with software upgrades and tells a compelling story to buyers working closely with the Product Strategy team (Antara) and GS (Kangana and Jimmy)
  • Supports sales in ‘deep dive’ consultative demos and presentations as HEDIS SME
  • Functions as SME to product management teams on ongoing feature design and development
  • Works collaboratively with product to bring back customer experience feedback to help inform roadmap and yearly release features.
  • Supports product team in acceptance of software releases prior to general availability.
  • Open to travel to conferences, sales meetings, client visits.

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s degree required. An additional four (4) years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Five (5) years of experience as a project manager or senior HEDIS analyst working at a health plan.
  • In-depth knowledge of HEDIS measures, healthcare quality improvement, and relevant regulatory requirements. CMS Star Rating experience is a plus.
  • Experience with NCQA’s annual HEDIS audit and IDSS/PLD submissions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data interpretation and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams. Strong presentation skills.
  • Proficient in project management tools, data analysis software, and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Data analytic skills, SQL experience a plus
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications published by NCQA for HEDIS and provide guidance to technical resources, such as the IT department.
  • Ability to effectively facilitate meetings and deliver information/presentations to customers, management, or staff
  • Self-directed with ability to assume responsibility, work independently, organize, prioritize, and effectively manage competing initiatives in a fast paced, dynamic environment with a high level of ambiguity
  • Ability to direct and manage large-scale, complex, cross-functional, multi-departmental projects to completion with minimum supervision.
  • Expertise in risk adjustment is a plus.
