GT was founded in 2019 by a former Apple, Nest, and Google executive. GT’s mission is to connect the world’s best talent with product careers offered by high-growth companies in the UK, USA, Canada, Germany, and the Netherlands.

On behalf of our partner in the defence-tech domain, GT is looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer interested in AI and aerospace.

About the Client

Our client is a cutting-edge Aerospace and Defense company committed to delivering innovative, secure, and compliant solutions for our customers. They specialize in mission-critical technology services for government and private sector customers, ensuring excellence in aerospace systems design, performance, and compliance.

About the Project & the Role

Currently, they are working on the AI-driven collaborative framework for the Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI/CD) of defence hardware and software, through which US and allied-defense industrial base participants can cooperate to develop and modernize major defense platforms.

So, they are seeking a skilled and creative Senior Frontend Engineer to join their engineering team. In this role, you will take ownership of designing and developing intuitive, secure, and responsive user interfaces that support critical aerospace and defense applications. You’ll work closely with backend engineers, product managers, and designers to build seamless and compliant user experiences, enabling users to interact with complex data and mission systems with clarity and confidence.

You’ll leverage modern technologies like TypeScript, Next.js, and Apollo to deliver high-performance frontends that meet rigorous performance, security, and usability standards. Your work will directly contribute to systems used in real-world defense and aerospace operations, where clarity, speed, and precision matter most.

*Working hours: it is essential to overlap with the MST timezone for at least 4 working hours.

Responsibilities:

  • UI/UX Implementation: Design, develop, and maintain responsive, high-performance user interfaces using TypeScript and Next.js

  • GraphQL Integration: Work with Apollo to integrate GraphQL APIs for efficient, real-time data fetching and state management

  • Work closely with backend engineers and data teams to consume and visualize analytical data through intuitive, interactive user interfaces

  • Translate complex mathematical or engineering-driven datasets into clear and impactful frontend presentations

  • Ensure frontend performance and scalability when dealing with data-heavy views or dashboards

  • Performance Optimization: Ensure applications are optimized for speed, scalability, and an exceptional user experience across devices

  • Component Architecture: Build reusable and maintainable frontend components and design systems to ensure consistency across the platform

  • Collaboration: Partner closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to define and implement new features

  • Testing & Quality Assurance: Write unit and integration tests using modern testing frameworks to ensure robust, bug-free code

  • Code Reviews: Participate in and lead code reviews, ensuring best practices and high standards for frontend development

  • Accessibility: Advocate for and implement accessibility best practices to make our platform inclusive for all users

  • Stay Current: Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in frontend development to ensure our technology stack remains cutting-edge

Essential knowledge, skills & experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent hands-on experience

  • 5+ years of professional frontend development experience, with deep expertise in TypeScript and modern JavaScript frameworks

  • Background in engineering, mathematics, or a related quantitative field is highly desirable

  • Experience working with data analytics systems and a deep understanding of how data flows from backend to frontend

  • Proven ability to build data-driven interfaces, dashboards, or interactive visualizations

  • Advanced proficiency with Next.js, React, and supporting libraries

  • Experience working with GraphQL APIs, ideally using Apollo Client, in data-intensive environments

  • Strong grasp of responsive design, accessibility standards, and modern CSS frameworks

  • Familiarity with testing tools and frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, or equivalent

  • A solid understanding of frontend performance optimization and secure web application practices

  • Prior experience developing interfaces in regulated or high-security environments (e.g., aerospace, defense, healthcare, or finance) is a strong plus

  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for crafting exceptional, user-friendly experiences

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally in fast-paced, mission-driven teams

The company is legally registered as TSG TALENT SOLUTIONS LIMITED in Nicosia, Cyprus, while also maintaining significant operational presence with a main HQ in Krakow, Poland, and a strong talent sourcing network across Eastern Europe and Turkey. GT specializes in building and maintaining dedicated offshore product teams, providing end-to-end product development, comprehensive software development services, and data science solutions. The company prides itself on its expert sourcing knowledge and its ability to quickly assemble and onboard entire teams, typically within four weeks, with a current hiring capacity of around 35 engineers per month. GT serves a diverse range of clients, including notable names such as McLaren, Universal Studios, Jaguar Land Rover, and Eagle Genomics, primarily in the UK, USA, Canada, Germany, and the Netherlands. Their service offerings also include project-based teams, product planning, and a product studio for rapidly developing MVPs using low-code platforms, alongside robust data and insights services encompassing data architecture, visualization, advanced analytics, and process automation.
