The Content Migration Specialist will provide a critical contribution to the success of our clients’ website projects by migrating existing page content, images, and documents into a new govAccess website or intranet. As a Content Migration Specialist, you will learn and understand the govAccess platform and specifically the page templates and features to successfully create beautiful web pages. These pages will contain all the content on the current customer sites, and you will be responsible for assuring that the transition is done effectively, efficiently., and accessibly.

Essential Functions

  • Migrate web content from the existing client website CMS (Content Management System) to the govAccess CMS, maintaining the content as consistently as possible
  • Become familiar and stay up to date with web accessibility guidelines and compliance (i.e. WCAG) and implement those practices throughout the migration process
  • Build basic product understanding and expertise with the govAccess platform
  • Be familiar with the govAccess Help Center to answer your own questions about using the platform and best practices for the Content Migration process.
  • Follow the directions of the Content Implementation Manager for each project, communicating questions or issues in a timely manner
  • Keep project on time by quickly communicating concerns or delays and re-setting expectations where needed
  • Aid in the improvement of the Content Migration process by communicating suggestions and ideas back to the Content Implementation Manager and larger Implementation team
  • Be an ongoing advocate for the customer within govAccesss, and for govAccess within the customer organization Skills Experience
  • Comfort with/ability to learn software admin dashboards, cut and paste editing in a digital framework, and basic editing software (MS Word, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to checking your own work
  • Strong collaboration with team members and excellent communication, especially in a challenging/fast-paced business environment
  • Ability to prioritize work and take direction and feedback well
  • HTML proficiency and understanding of web structures preferred

How we will measure success

  • Quality of content migrated, as judged by manager review as well as Customer satisfaction
  • Timeliness of content migration and effectiveness of the communications throughout the project
  • Team feedback regarding ability to co-work, collaborate, and build shared success

  • Responsible for “Company” information security by appropriately preserving the Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability (CIA) of “Company” information assets in accordance with the company's information security program.
