Full Scale

Full Scale is an offshore development company that recruits, employs, and retains experienced software engineers in the Philippines, placing them on long-term teams at US tech companies. Founded in 2018 by Matt Watson, a serial entrepreneur and four-time tech founder who spent over 20 years as a developer and CTO, the company was built out of personal frustration with the challenges of scaling engineering teams. Watson previously co-founded VinSolutions (acquired for roughly $150 million) and founded Stackify, a developer tools company he later sold.

The company operates with over 300 Filipino engineers working on production software for US startups and enterprise clients, with a focus on long-term placements rather than project-based work. Full Scale engineers join client teams as full members, participating in standups, using the same tools, and having the same codebase ownership as internal hires. Notable clients include AMC Theatres, where the team helps run the world's largest movie-theatre ticketing platform, and SOTA Cloud, an FDA-cleared cloud dental imaging product. The company is US-registered in Leawood, Kansas, with a Philippine corporation and an office in Cebu City.
