Job Title: IT Technical Consultant
Salary: £40,000 Plus Car Allowance
Location: UK Remote

Our team of Technical Consultants play a vital role in the technical department to ensure the successful design and execution of our most critical projects. You will plan, manage, and deploy IT and communications projects, ensuring clients are satisfied and their expectations are met.
You will be working across the project lifecycle including service and solution design, project documentation, client onboarding and technical project delivery. You will lead proof of concepts and lead other engineering teams through the execution of your projects.
Principal Responsibilities & Duties
- Either remotely or onsite, provide high quality customer experience in relation to the design and deployment of a customer's ICT solutions.
- Act as an escalation point for your area of specialism undertaking complex faults and escalations.
- Liaise with technical pre-sales consultants, project management teams, 3rd Line Engineers and Service Desk Engineers on a regular basis.
- Audit and document client infrastructure to a high standard.
- Lead best-practice for your subject matter area including training, documentation, knowledge base and industry changes.
- Lead and support other engineers on complex project delivery.
- Either remotely or onsite, lead a team of engineers in undertaking the delivery of small, medium, and large projects.
- Lead and contribute to customer requirements for technical discussions, scoping, and design during the pre-sale, proof of concept and delivery phases.
- Interface with management, colleagues, clients, and vendors to implement solutions to meet stated project requirements.
- Undertake and document site surveys and audits.
- Provide technical documentation in relation to your projects including risk logs, scope of works, solution architecture diagrams and migration strategy’s.
- Provide and document best-practice solution design to meet customer requirements pre, during and post sale.
- Delivery of Projects within allocated time budgets and KPI’s.
- Production of technical statement of works and low-level project plans.
Essential Skills
- Demonstrable experience in an IT or telecoms project delivery role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to be flexible as you may be required to adjust working hours or stayover on some larger project work.
- You must have a full valid UK driving license.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Able to manage and priortise your own workload based on customer requirements.
- Punctual and responsible with excellent time management.
- Ability to be able to work independently where required.
- A strong desire to grow and expand your technical knowledge and customer service skills.
- Demonstrable industry experience to a subject matter expect level in at least one of these areas or vendors: -
- Networking (VLAN’s, Routing, Wireless, Ekahau, Meraki, SonicWall, Cisco, Aruba)
- Voice (SIP, Hosted Voice, WLR, ISDN, Gamma, LG, Mitel, or Avaya)
- Server & Storage (Windows Server, Storage, Hyper V, VMware, M365 & Azure)
- Cloud (M365, Microsoft Modern Workplace, Azure, Intune, SharePoint)
Desired Skills
- Worked in an IT or Telecom Managed Service environment previously.
- Relevant vendor or industry qualifications (Microsoft, Gamma, LG, Meraki, SonicWall, Aruba or Cisco).
- Have an active Microsoft certification (eg AZ305, MS100, MS101)
