Compensation Range: $159,700-$195,000 plus annual bonus

Compensation may vary based on applicant's work experience, education level, skill set, and/or location.

Job Purpose

The Senior Director Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) and Talent will be a key member of the HR leadership team with responsibility for providing strategy, leadership, and process improvement for our Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, DEI and Talent Team. This position will work collaboratively with the HR team, key stakeholders and EnerSys leadership in ensuring programs are innovative and motivating so that we can make our approach to talent and the development of our employees a competitive advantage and maintain high engagement with our workforce.

This position will work with leadership to understand business objectives while identifying and implementing a talent strategy that reflects our values, desired culture and meets the needs of employes as well as our business goals. This role will be the “empower” in the HR Vision statement providing the programs and tools for employees to own their development.

The successful, highly energetic and passionate leader, will have the opportunity to build a strategy, own their budget/decisions and create a launching pad we can build on.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Be a strategist, constantly scanning the external environment for emerging and best practices, making choices that will provide the scaffolding to build culture on.
  • Design and deliver:
    • High potential Talent program
    • Enterprise organizational design
    • Executive & Leader Coaching
    • Organizational Effectiveness and Change Management
    • Robust global Talent Development program
    • Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)
    • Annual HR Calendar
    • Succession Planning, Talent Planning, and Performance Management
  • · Partner with the Global Talent team, HR and Business Leaders to create and implement a comprehensive and integrated talent management strategy, tools, and processes to drive a culture of career growth, DEI, talent succession, performance accountability and leadership development.
  • Lead strong talent review/succession planning, developing creative and effective approaches to bridging gaps in both the short term and long term.
  • Support and advise HR Business Partners in developing strategies to address talent goals, gaps, and targeted development needs to support our business objectives.
  • Create and drive operating mechanisms with key internal HR partners to ensure seamless delivery and execution of talent programs and priorities.
  • Build and develop a world-class, global talent team that is both business and employee-focused, capable of enabling rapid business expansion and growth.
  • Collaborate and inform on other HR projects such as pay grading, leveling/job architecture and HRIS design, implementations & enhancements.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree with 15+ years of relevant experience
  • 10+ years of upwardly progressive, successful leadership experience

Qualifications

  • Strong business, financial, and human resources acumen
  • Proven record implementing successful diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives
  • Global work experience and global team leadership
  • Data-driven approach diagnosing business problems, understanding insights, and designing HR solutions
  • Strong consultative approach including excellent interpersonal communication skills, ability to listen well across a diverse set of opinions and viewpoints, and then influence appropriate outcomes
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to build consensus and drive alignment across diverse stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire others at all levels of the organization
  • Successful record delivering solutions in a rapidly scaling, transformational business environment, demonstrated ability handling competing priorities
  • Strong program and change management skills, including building awareness and “pull” for programs and interventions
  • Possesses both strategic thinking capability and “hands on” plan implementation experience
  • Proven ability to build, develop and motivate a high-performing team
  • Teamwork role model, skilled at fostering synergies between HRBP and COE teams to support an integrated HR delivery system
  • Current on science behind what works in HR, talent, organizational effectiveness, diversity, and learning
