Compensation Range: $131,200-$160,000

Compensation may vary based on applicant's work experience, education level, skill set, and/or location.

Job Purpose

This position is an integral part of the Data Organization that will plan, design, and implement the data governance framework. This role will be responsible for establishing, enhancing, and managing best practices, processes and tools related to Data Governance. This is a highly visible role and requires cross functional leadership with stakeholders and partners across the organization. This role is equal parts strategy and technical execution and requires experience creating frameworks, designs, and initiatives, and proving them out. The candidate must be an initiative-taker driving initiatives from ideation through completion, influencing stakeholders, and communicating at both a working level and an executive level. Prior experience supporting and managing sensitive data; building and maintaining processes and systems to ensure data is safe, accurate and secure is preferred.

Remote role with minimal to moderate travel

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to an enterprise/global data governance framework or data practices, policies, and standards at both a functional and technical level.
  • Promote data consistency, accuracy, and completeness with data standards.
  • Leverage data quality best practices to onboard/implement new data quality tools and technologies.
  • Develops audit processes and data quality reviews/dashboards utilizing quality assurance methods to identify problems, defects, and resolutions.
  • Lead data enrichment projects, defining goals and deliverables along with monitoring progress.
  • Oversee maintenance of business rules and data quality management activities to align with up/downstream data requirements/needs.
  • Lead, grow and evolve a team of specialists that manage data cleansing efforts.
  • Develop partnerships with internal and external groups to gather feedback, collaborate on initiatives, and influence planning and decision making.
  • Develop presentations and deliverables for communication to leadership and peers.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business, or related fields, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5 or more years of data management experience
  • 3 or more years of people management experience

Solid knowledge of data governance methodologies, principles, tools, and best practices.
Functional and technical experience in a large-scale data environment, e.g., developing business requirements, mapping out process flows, ETL, automation, auditing, testing,
Understand business uses of data for reporting and analytics.
Strong people leader with proven ability to manage and grow individuals.
Proven experience influencing and leading projects in a cross functional environment.
Excellent project management and presentation skills
Ability to communicate with all levels of management and company personnel.

Language Skills
Effective communication skills: Oral, written and listening.

Reasoning Ability
Advanced analytical, conceptual, and critical thinking skills.

Other Skills and Abilities
Highly organized and dedicated with a positive attitude.

Work in Agile development methodologies.

Demonstrated history of successful tasks and/or project leadership and delivery.
Experience leading project teams, ideally in a globally collaborative environment.
