We need a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our Asset Optimisation Governance (AOG) team. The role involves delivering expert mechanical engineering support across the EIS portfolio, including optimising the performance of heat and power plant assets, associated mechanical systems, and pipework. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading and contributing to mechanical asset optimisation projects, providing expert mechanical engineering advice, and supporting the development and delivery of risk-based maintenance strategies.
Requirements
- Relevant Mechanical Engineering degree, HNC, or equivalent
- Significant experience with boilers and auxiliary mechanical plant in the power or heat generation sectors
- Strong working knowledge of PSSR regulations and SAFed guidance for steam and hot water boilers
- Proven experience delivering engineering projects and working within multi-disciplinary teams
- Ability to diagnose operational problems, develop innovative solutions, and manage contracts
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and produce clear reports
- Business financial awareness and experience managing project budgets
- Full UK Driving Licence
