SEIU UHW

SEIU United Healthcare Workers West (SEIU-UHW) is a healthcare justice union of more than 100,000 healthcare workers, patients, and healthcare consumers united to ensure affordable, accessible, high-quality care for all Californians. The organization represents workers in hospitals, nursing homes, clinics, and home care settings, advocating for better wages, benefits, and working conditions. SEIU-UHW is a local affiliate of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), one of the largest labor unions in North America.

The union is dedicated to improving the healthcare system by empowering workers and patients to have a voice in decision-making processes. SEIU-UHW's members work in a wide range of roles, including respiratory care practitioners, dietary and environmental services staff, nursing assistants, and other frontline caregivers. The organization is known for its active involvement in legislative and political campaigns, including ballot initiatives aimed at improving healthcare standards and funding.
