  • Identify, evaluate, and optimize processes to maximize efficiency
  • Unblock and push the team to hit deadlines
  • Anticipate strategic and scaling-related challenges and collaborate with the team to find the best scalable solution
  • Collaborate successfully with cross functional partners including product, support and GTM
  • Assist the GTM org in landing and serving our biggest customers
  • Partner with product on delivering solutions to our customers that keep DISCO ahead of our competitors

Requirements

  • Is a proven leader, who has successfully taken high-performance engineering teams through the scaling period DISCO is in (50 to 100 people)
  • Has a strong record of hiring and developing great, diverse talent
  • Has 10+ years of engineering leadership experience, including experience overseeing an engineering org of 20+
  • Is comfortable operating in an environment where you need to motivate teams by working both with managers and directly with engineers
  • Has successfully managed hybrid and remote teams working across multiple time zones
  • Has 5+ years experience overseeing development of AI/ML products
  • Has experience delivering and maintaining B2B web apps, with some consumer-facing product experience preferred
  • Has a strong sense of urgency to deliver results and inspire the team to achieve beyond what they think is possible
  • Has a strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Is enthusiastic about diving into the code and getting your hands dirty when needed
  • Has strong technical mastery in software engineering but remains curious and committed to learning and improving their craft

DISCO is a cloud-based music catalogue management, discovery and promotion SaaS platform used by professionals to interact within and between the music and media industries.

Basically, every piece of recorded music, that you’ve ever heard has been through a long series of processes (from creation to distribution to promotion) prior to reaching your ears.

Throughout these processes, audio files and their metadata (information about the files) are continuously updated and shared between many collaborators.

DISCO was built as an in-house tool to solve many bottlenecks and time-wasting tasks. It has since become the preferred platform for the music industry because it is super easy to use and streamlines the job.
