What is d.MBA?

In our minds, d.MBA is not just a company. We see it as an example of the idea that we are pursuing. An idea that companies can (and need to) be run more thoughtfully in order to be successful long term.

All too often, companies are being judged by how big and prestigious they are. This pushes them into a vicious VC cycle of hyper-growth and away from ethical decisions. We try to design a different type of company.

We believe that companies can be run more thoughtfully and also be successful in the business sense. For that, we need a new category of business leaders. And we see designers as a perfect fit for that.

The way we try to achieve this mission is by organizing business training for designers. Unfortunately, business education has been overlooked in design schools and the design community for too long. And we try to fill that gap.

No VC money and pressures for never-ending growth. No office and geographical limitations. No crazy deadlines and overtime. No bureaucracy and internal politics. And it will stay this way.

We put a lot of focus on our mental and physical health. So, we organize monthly Temperature Checks to see how everybody is feeling emotionally. We also host a weekly Posture Workout so you can stretch your legs and learn the best exercises for better posture.

As we are a small team, everyone has an impact on all aspects of the company and is always welcome to bring their ideas to the front.
