About Common Future
We believe an equitable economy isn't just possible - it already exists in pockets across communities of color. Our job is to find those solutions, invest in them, and help them become the new normal. Since 2001, we've been working to shift capital, power, and narratives toward communities that have been systematically excluded from wealth and ownership.
What we actually do day-to-day: we provide funding and operational support to economic justice organizations, help community-rooted leaders build influence, and create stories that change how people think about the economy. We're proud to be led by a multiracial, all-women co-CEO team that reflects the communities we serve. Our team of strategists, organizers, and financial activists brings lived experience to this work, and we're committed to modeling a different way of working that prioritizes equity and sustainability.
