We’re looking for a proactive and organized Security Engineer to support the day-to-day rhythm of our Security team. At Automox, things move quickly—and your role will be essential in keeping operations smooth, priorities clear, and workflows on point. You’ll help drive efficiency, coordinate key processes, and support cross-functional collaboration, all while keeping an eye on the details that matter. WHAT YOU'LL OWN & DRIVE
- Build proactive security automation aimed at decreasing manual remediation work.
- Research new and novel ways to accomplish security work and publish your findings on our blog.
- Participate in a monthly security on-call rotation for critical escalations.
- Build security capabilities utilizing the attacker mindset and other adversary research.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
- You have 2+ years of experience in a security domain and exposure to SaaS companies.
- You have experience automating tasks in a programming language of your choice (Python, Go, Node.js, etc.).
- You can triage security issues appropriately; accounting for reachability and business impact.
- You have experience participating in a security program at a mid-stage startup where every decision involves balancing competing priorities.
- You enjoy having philosophical discussions about security practices and ways to improve them.
- You want a chance to try something new without much bureaucratic overhead.
The salary range listed is the base pay range for this position. In addition, the total compensation package includes bonus, equity and benefits. Actual earnings may be less or more depending on a candidate's direct experience, skills, industry knowledge, and location.
