It also requires a lot of cross-functional partnership. Dissect complex data and translate it into actionable strategies to help optimize credit underwritingDetermine and optimize purchasing power, ensuring they are set optimally to balance risk and growth, driving healthy user engagementPlay a pivotal role in underwriting cost saving, managing risk and improving the profitabilitySupport the launch of new products by designing and implementing credit strategiesPartner with Machine Learning and Engineering teams on building effective credit risk capabilitiesWhat We Look For2+ years of work experience as a data analyst/data scientist (consumer credit risk management strongly preferred but not required)Curious and passionate to learn new things and think outside the boxExtensive experience with SQL and Python, or other scripting languages. Experience with Spark is a plusExperience/knowledge with Machine Learning is a plusAbility to collaborate and influence across different teams in the organizationAbility to communicate findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiencesA passion for finding insights in data and driving changes based on those insightsIntelligence + Humility. Affirm focuses on providing a simple and transparent pay structure which is based on a variety of factors, including location, experience and job-related skills.Base pay is part of a total compensation package that may include equity rewards, monthly stipends for health, wellness and tech spending, and benefits (including 100% subsidized medical coverage, dental and vision for you and your dependents.)USA base pay range (CA, WA, NY, NJ, CT) per year: $140,000 - $190,000USA base pay range (all other U.S. states) per year: $124,000 - $174,000Affirm is proud to be a remote-first company!
