What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a role where I can combine client-focused support with animal welfare—clear communication, calm problem-solving, and reliable, compliant record-keeping—within a team that values empathy, training, and consistent service.

I’m a friendly, self-driven Client Care Advisor and Pet Health Advisor who takes pride in building strong, meaningful client relationships and acting as the crucial link between clients and the veterinary team. In my role at Vets for Pets Hamilton, I bring clients a warm welcome, confidently explain product and service knowledge by breaking down technical jargon, and guide both routine and complex animal care needs for dogs, cats, and small furries.

I also handle the pressure points that keep a busy practice running smoothly—booking appointments and surgical procedures, managing busy phone lines and digital enquiries, and triaging emergency calls with efficiency, professionalism, and emotional awareness. I ensure GDPR-compliant maintenance of client records, keep reception areas clean and tidy, support health and safety and equipment standards, de-escalate challenging situations, and assist with practice tasks including dispensing medication and supporting debt collections. Before this, I advanced animal welfare through hands-on work as an Animal Care Assistant with the SSPCA—driving daily husbandry, species-specific enrichment, health and behaviour monitoring, vaccinations, medication administration, and barrier-nursing—while supervising volunteers and supporting public rehoming. Earlier, as a Scientific Officer / Animal Technician at The Beatson Institute for Cancer Research, I followed defined SOPs and strict legal procedures under The Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986, maintained animal welfare, and recorded data in databases. With an HND in Animal Care (distinction) from The Scottish Rural College, I bring both compassionate care and meticulous record-keeping to every client interaction.
