I´m Soraya, a 48-year-old Brazilian woman. I am looking for a remote job as my country has a very complicated economy… I´ve had an exciting and diverse career, which I am proud of. I studied marketing, worked in sales leadership, English teacher and school coordinator , and my last job was customer support ( initial) and brand advocate ( final position) for IBM from 2006 to 2013. Since then, I´ve worked as an entrepreneur, and I’ve been teaching English, mostly remotely, which has brought me numerous opportunities. My small school started to grow when I got involved with the innovation and startup ecosystem in my city/region. I got many new clients with this movement and could hire two other teachers to cover the demand. To the startups, I offer something called English as a service, because you guys have no idea how low the English proficiency is in my country. I do everything for them: business consulting, classes, meeting preparations, and translation of all materials, from social media to pitch decks. I also apply them for global competitions and intermediate meetings and visits. Also, last year I traveled as an interpreter with a group of veterinaries from Malaysia on an audit trip promoted by my agriculture ministry in Brazil. About IBM I have 7 years of experience in technical presales and support. I worked in the Supply Chain area, processing requests from our business partners in the US about feature changes, shipment details, deadlines, etc. I worked with the IBM ticket management system and many others; we had internal tools but also, after a while, I actively participated in the SAP implementation and staff training. By then, I was hired to compose a new team, in an offshore operation, so we were all learning the processes together. I learned how to deal with changes and new approaches, tools, quarter-end pressure , and so on I was named the most valuable player by my clients many times, and I am sure I can get excellent recommendations if needed. I am highly communicative and used to working with teams and clients. I understand that they are the essence of the success of a business. I worked for 5 years, in parallel with my official position, with technical classes at IBM, for customer support excellence and project management principles ´

I am sure my expertise as a IBMer + my entrepreneur life in the last 10y + my passion for startups, innovation and tech make me a good fit for an amazing remote job
