Sian Liu
@sianliu
I build data-driven research on green finance, energy transition, and sustainable markets.
What I'm looking for
I'm currently contributing to China Merchants Bank Research Institute's research on China’s low-carbon transition, leading the “New Carbon” chapter for an institutional report spanning AI infrastructure, semiconductors, and advanced air mobility.
At the World Resources Institute, I built a 54×21 cross-regional green hydrogen production-cost model from 20+ studies and supported transport decarbonization research using forecasts from 70+ studies and 700+ LNG price observations. I also conducted international policy research and led data visualization for published WRI research.
My green-finance work also includes climate adaptation finance, carbon-market policy, regulatory tracking, infrastructure REIT valuation support, and bottom-up estimates of green-transition investment needs. At the Paulson Institute, I produced biweekly briefs on global decarbonization trends and regulatory signals.
Alongside research, I grow a sustainable fashion and lifestyle content account, managing 100+ brand collaborations and using audience and performance analysis to build repeatable content formats. I'm pursuing a Master of Arts in International Studies focused on Energy, Resources and Environment.
