Sheetal Vishwakarma

I am a motivated Biotechnology graduate with a PG Diploma in Bioinformatics and current experience as a Scientist I, focused on applying omics data to research and diagnostics. My background combines molecular biology, genetics, and computational analysis with hands-on internships in bioinformatics and R&D.

In my current role I provide end-to-end bioinformatics support for RNA-Seq and 16S/ITS sequencing projects, handling preprocessing, QC, alignment, quantification, differential expression, and downstream functional analysis. I also perform microbial diversity and community-structure analyses and contribute to academic publications.

I develop reproducible workflows and custom scripts using R, Python, Bash and workflow managers such as Snakemake and Nextflow, and I have experience implementing NGS pipelines, metagenomics analyses, and data visualization for 60+ academic projects. Previous internships included mutation-signature analyses, exome/transcriptome literature review, and biocuration.

I am currently seeking a Master's program to deepen expertise in bioinformatics and translational research, with a focus on genetic analysis, cancer biology, and designing novel therapeutic approaches.
