What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a Bioinformatics Analyst role where I can apply Python/R NGS workflows and cloud/HPC execution to deliver QC-driven, reproducible multi-omics insights, with strong cross-functional collaboration.

I’m a Bioinformatics Analyst with an MSc in Applied Bioinformatics and 3+ years of freelance bioinformatics experience, alongside prior molecular diagnostics exposure. I focus on genomic, transcriptomic, metagenomic, epigenomic, and multi-omics analysis with a strong emphasis on QC-driven, reproducible pipelines.

In my freelance work, I perform end-to-end analysis across genomics and multi-omics datasets—covering preprocessing, normalisation, statistical analysis, annotation, pathway enrichment, biological interpretation, reporting, and visualisation. I build and execute reproducible Python/R/Bash workflows to deliver report-ready outputs for scientific decision-making.

For example, on a WGS rare-disease project, I analysed trio joint VCFs using nf-core/Sarek/GATK outputs, performed BCFtools normalisation, ran VEP/vcfanno annotation, applied gnomAD filtering, and supported Exomiser-ready prioritisation with HPO matching and inheritance modelling. I also integrate ChIP-seq, RNA-seq, and EM-seq/DNA methylation data to derive methylation-expression associations and pathway-level biological insights.

Beyond analysis, I value workflow documentation and clear communication of QC summaries and publication-ready figures. I’ve also supported large-scale metagenomics/omics reporting with automation and HPC workflow optimisation, and I’m comfortable collaborating remotely with academic, biotech, pharma R&D, and healthcare clients.
