Shawn Lankas

I am an Information Technology diploma student at Friends College Kaimosi, focused on network administration, database management, software development, and cybersecurity. I apply technical coursework and practical experience to solve real-world IT problems.

I developed an academic project, Intelligent Hotel Reservation, that uses machine learning and data analytics to provide personalized booking recommendations based on user preferences and booking history. This project sharpened my practical skills in software development and data-driven solutions.

During an ICT attachment at Camara Education I assisted with setting up and maintaining a 30-system computer lab, performed network troubleshooting, and delivered end-user technical support to ensure reliable operation and security. I take pride in clear communication and teamwork when supporting users and resolving issues.

I am seeking opportunities to contribute to IT projects where I can continue learning, apply my network and database skills, and gain hands-on experience within a professional ICT team environment.
