Psychology student and youth support aide pursuing youth mental health counseling with strong communication and research skills.
What I'm looking for
I’m a psychology junior with a minor in creative writing, committed to supporting youth in their emotional, social, and academic development. I’m pursuing a career as a mental health counselor for youth and the community, bringing strong research habits and a genuine drive to help children reach their highest potential.
My academic performance reflects that focus: I maintain a 4.0+ GPA and earned A grades in coursework including Psychological Disorders, Psychology of Learning, Advanced Psychological Statistics, and Psychological Research Methods. I’ve also been recognized through honors like Sigma Tau Delta (National English Honor Society) and multiple Academic Excellence Awards, including an invitation to present original poetry and essays at the Sigma Tau Delta National Convention.
In my part-time Teacher’s Aide role, I provide emotional and behavioral support for children of various ages, support classroom activities and supervision, and communicate with parents about student needs, behaviors, and progress. I handle administrative and secretary tasks (calls, enrollment paperwork, filing), and I bring additional people-focused experience from customer service work—while staying prepared with CPR and First Aid certifications.
