What I'm looking for

I am looking for a role that allows me to apply my genetics expertise in a collaborative environment focused on innovative research and development.

I am a recent graduate with a Master’s in Genetics from Clemson University, where I gained advanced training in molecular biology, variant analysis, and clinical data interpretation using bioinformatics tools. My research has focused on rare lysosomal storage disorders, specifically mucopolysaccharidosis IIIA, utilizing Drosophila melanogaster as a model organism. I have published work on gene family annotations and have extensive experience with tools such as Genious, Ensemble, and dbSNP.

In my role as a Graduate Researcher, I conducted wet lab operations including DNA extraction, PCR, and Sanger sequencing, confirming CRISPR edits and analyzing behavioral data. My undergraduate research further honed my skills in DNA/RNA extraction and purification, and I have a strong background in managing lab operations and mentoring interns. I am passionate about applying my skills in genetic variant data interpretation and rare disease models in a collaborative team environment.
